What are the Types of Vehicle Tow Trucks?

What is a Tow Truck?

We use vehicles in many situations during the day, whether it is to go to work, to come back from work or to reach a point faster. Especially for those of us living in big cities, traffic accidents are a more frequent problem when we consider the traffic and vehicle density. In some cases, it may be impossible to restart our vehicles that have crashed and continue on the road. Similarly, it may not be possible to start our broken-down vehicles on intercity or deserted highways. In such cases, the best method is to call a towing winnipeg Manitoba, in other words a rescue vehicle, or if there is one, to contact the company we receive roadside assistance from.

What types of vehicles do tow trucks serve?

Tow trucks can provide service for almost every type of vehicle. We can get help from tow trucks for all our vehicles, including sedans or hatchbacks, all kinds of passenger cars, minibosses, vans, trucks, construction equipment and even motorcycles.

What are the types of tow trucks?

There are different types of cranes available for tow trucks depending on the type of vehicle they will tow. These are;

– Fork tow truck: With two greate forks that go bottom , the vehicle is upraised and placed on the tow truck bed, as in a forklift. With this system, the vehicle can be full  onto the tow truck from either the right or left side, depending on the relevancy  of the road and the vehicle.   It has a wired control. It does not damage the vehicle and the process is completed in 12 seconds. The vehicle can be towed and the driver is the nucleus of the vehicle.

– Top towing: This is a vehicle towing system generally used by traffic police. This type of towing is also known as an octopus towing. The wheels are attached to the four-fork of the crane descending from the top and the vehicle to be towed is placed in the flatbed truck service. In addition, two vehicles can be carried at the same time thanks to the double-wheel towing system at the rear. There is no need to open the vehicle doors during this towing service.

– Sliding platform with crane: If the vehicle stranded on the road can be moved, it is placed on the sliding platform on the tractor. If the vehicle cannot be moved, it is pulled to the platform by the crane on the tractor. This type of tractor can also carry two vehicles at once thanks to the double-wheel tractor at the back.

– Car transfer tow truck: The vehicle to be towed is pulled to the dump platform by means of a hydraulic reel winch located on the tow truck. When it is desired to be lowered, the dumper is lifted and the reel is loosened in a controlled manner.
