Finding Strength in the Darkest Moments

In the abyss of the night, the gloom of the day,

You feel your fate chipping you away,

Your heavy heart weighs down your bones,

You’re isolate, all alone,

But take heart, and look up with might,

Dig deep, you’ll win the fight,

This is your life, embrace it, own it,

That’s how you find strength in the darkest moments

As Rocky Balboa said:

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place, and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.” A sinful life will always ebb and flow. At one point, you will find yourself sitting on top, embracing your throne with a crown on your head, only to be beaten to the ground the next moment. There will be moments when you will sing and dance in the afternoon sun, only to isolated in the middle of the night in your room, sulking in regret and self-pity.

But take heart, for this blog is that friend who extends a hand when you’re down.

Listen carefully.

The only way to reach the other side in the brutal circumstances of life is to find your way through. Instead of moaning and sulking, stand up and control your fate. You were sent into the world for a reason, and you must fight for your own sake, and if not for your own, for all the people who care about you.

There is nothing in this world that you can’t do if you only see what you are capable of. Change your perspective on hardship and see the results. If life tests you, take it as an opportunity to grow and become the best version of yourself you can possibly be. It may sound easier said than done but don’t think you are alone. You can fight only so many battles alone, so reach out to your friends, family, and anyone who loves you.

And if you need help, author Diane Dalton presents her riveting book Broken But Fixed: The Diane Dalton Story. The read expands upon living a life of purpose, fighting through her abusive childhood during her years in the orphanage after her parents’ passing. Diane lived an incredible life, overcoming hurts and rejection.
